Joe Salcido serves as Head of Advisors at Composition Wealth, where he leads the firm's advisors to build a culture of trust, collaboration, and sustainable growth. His focus is on mentoring advisors, shaping the firm's growth strategy, and ensuring the firm's approach to serving clients scales, without losing the personal touch that defines it. What he enjoys most is helping advisors grow into the best version of their practice, with the client experience always at the center.
Joe brings more than 20 years of experience in sales, operations, and leadership within financial services. Before joining Composition Wealth, he spent nearly ten years at Edelman Financial Engines, most recently as Regional Director of Wealth Planning, where he led the southeast division of advisors. Earlier in his career at Edelman, as Director of Sales, he helped lead the organization through two major mergers and integrations, scaling the sales team to support the firm's next phase of growth. Joe began his career at Vanguard, where he spent more than a decade in progressively senior sales, trading, and operations leadership roles.
Joe holds an MBA in Finance from Saint Joseph's University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and International Business from New Mexico State University. He holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) designation and a Series 65 license. Outside of work, he has served as a Board Member for the Moon Valley Neighborhood Association in Phoenix, where he helped grow membership through new community partnerships.
Fun Facts
Passionate about coaching youth sports and instilling the values of hard work, overcoming obstacles and demonstrating great sportsmanship. Has been coaching his son's football, soccer and basketball teams since his son was 5 years old.
Attended elementary school in Texas, where a husband and wife taught grades Pre-K through 5th grade in a one room school.
Hiked the Grand Canyon, 20 miles and 5200 feet of elevation gain in a little over 7 hours.
Faith, family and staying active are at his core. If not with family or working, you can catch Joe playing golf, mountain biking, hiking or doing something outside enjoying the beautiful weather in Phoenix, Arizona.
