Daniel helps families stop second-guessing their financial decisions and spend more time enjoying their lives. He guides his clients through major life transitions, from preparing for retirement or selling a business to managing finances after the loss of a parent or spouse.
Daniel brings financial planning and investment management together, with a strong focus on tax strategy. He works with Composition Wealth’s internal tax teams and his clients’ tax professionals and estate attorneys to help reduce taxes and make sure their financial and estate plans work together. He coordinates directly with those outside professionals so his clients don’t have to manage every detail themselves.
After graduating from UC Berkeley, Daniel began his career at UBS before joining what is now Composition Wealth. His early roles in client service and investment operations gave him a ground-up understanding of how investment decisions are made and what it takes to support clients day to day. He later moved into an advisory role and earned the CFP® certification.
Daniel writes educational articles about the financial decisions families commonly face, including retirement, taxes, inheritance, and building wealth. He is a Bay Area native and former captain of Cal’s men’s club water polo team. His weekends involve live music, great food, and a good workout — not necessarily in that order.
